An afternoon of Victorian Ghost Stories and Tall Tales for Christmas served up with a glass of Mulled wine and Mince Pies
Wednesday 13 December | 4 - 6pm
£10 per person

Performed by the actors Noel Andrew Harron and Jane Talbot

Imagine Christmas Eve: Snow drifts down from the night sky, the fireplace glows red and crackles with warmth, and a stately looking family gathers in the living room with food and drink to regale each other with tales of the undead coming to life and psychologically taunting characters until they are driven to madness from fear. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night? Yes indeed. Sweet dreams, little ones. For as odd as this scene might sound, the telling of stories on the night before Christmas was and is a common tradition in England and throughout much of Europe. Beginning in the Victorian Era as form of entertainment on Christmas Eve, the telling of ghost stories in particular quickly became as much a Yuletide staple as fruitcakes and sleigh rides.

So pour yourself a warming glass of mulled wine, let’s dim the lights and see what unfolds before us!

Please book through the Box Office on 028 90241919
