Would you love to have Shakespeare explained so you can enjoy it fully? If the answer is yes, then this is the experience for you!
Join experienced Shakespeare director Andrea Montgomery and her two outstanding actors as they rehearse four major scenes from Romeo & Juliet. Experience how a play comes together in real time in a relaxed setting. You'll get to make suggestions about the actors' movements and how they deliver their lines. The actors will then try out a few audience suggestions before the audience votes on what they think worked best. Enjoy seeing how considered meaningful rehearsal choices bring the four main scenes of Romeo & Juliet to life.
This will be a relaxed, enjoyable experience; perfect for theatre lovers, or for introducing someone to theatre for the first time.

We will focus on staging four main scenes: Romeo & Juliet’s first meeting, their balcony scene, their parting after their wedding night, and their deaths in the Capulet tomb - including reference to the other scenes and characters of the play, and how our choice moments sit within the arc of the narrative.
About the Director
Andrea Montgomery is an intercultural director of nearly 70 productions on three continents, including the largest Shakespeare production ever staged on the island of Ireland (the Belfast Tempest part of the Shakespeare 400 global celebrations in 2016).
Andrea was invited to Windsor in 2023 by the King for the 400th Anniversary of the publication of Shakespeare’s first folio.
The show will touch on GCSE topics of dramatisation, themes, and characterisation.
